October 18, 2017; NDIGD staff members and six students traveled to the rural town Villa De Leyva, Colombia (about three hours north of Bogota) to work with Monsignor Luis Mesa and the Messengers of Peace to study the water system and hygiene needs of the local population. They interviewed community members individually and in focus groups. They also interviewed local government about information related to infrastructure, geography and future plans for development.
