U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander John Hlitz '02 has the call sign "Johnny Kittens." A call sign in military aviation is as much a nickname as it is an inside joke. When asked if there was a short story behind his call sign, Hiltz simply replied good-naturedly, "No."
