August 18, 2017; Pilgrims begin the 41.4 mile leg of ND Trail on foot on day 5 from Crawfordville to Lafayette, Indiana. As part of the University’s 175th anniversary celebration, the Notre Dame Trail will commemorate Father Sorin and the Holy Cross Brothers’ journey. A small group of pilgrims will make the entire 300+ mile journey from Vincennes to Notre Dame over two weeks.(Photo by Barbara Johnston/University of Notre Dame)
