Notre Dame MBA students visited communities along the Amazon River in Brazil in order to better understand what goes in to planting, harvesting, processing, shipping and marketing of manioc root into farina. The students were part of the Business on the Frontlines (BOTFL) project with partner organization Sustainable Amazonas Foundation (FAS), which seeks to promote sustainable development, environmental conservation and quality of life improvements for Amazon River communities.<br />
