May 3, 2015; Michael Meyer, associate professional specialist in the Mendoza College of Business, walks on South Quad while carrying a backpack containing 2 gallons of water. He walked a total of 30 miles around campus while carrying two gallons of water to raise money to build a well in Burkina Faso. 30 miles represents the distance a typical village resident of Burkina Faso walks in one week to obtain and bring back water.
